2024 Highlights
March 2024Throughout my life, I've learned that leadership is not defined by a title, or by being the loudest in the room, rather by demonstrations through one's actions, strong work ethic, and consistency.
As a tri-sport athlete in high school -competing in golf, skiing, and baseball- I have learned the importance of adaptability, time management, and most importantly, mental toughness. Every sport presents its own unique challenges: golf requires focus and strong emotional regulation; skiing pushes my limits physically and teaches me to make fast decisions while under pressure, as a single mistake could ruin the race; and baseball, my true passion, has taught me patience, teamwork, and resilience.
While sports are a significant part of my life, I take pride in my academics and accomplishments as a student. Constantly challenging myself with rigorous schedules full of honors courses, I've never been one to become complacent. I strive to excel in both athletics and academics, recognizing that being a student athlete demands my full attention to both domains, and holding myself to a high standard in both areas.
I always strive to lead by example, as it is how I personally learn best. I stay after practice to take extra swings, encourage teammates through hard games, and always bring a strong work ethic, regardless of the situation. I believe that a leader is defined in challenging moments, when no one is watching, and the easier choice is to back down.
As college approaches, my goal is to continue my baseball career at the collegiate level, and to grow with a team that holds hard work and integrity in high value. I want to bring determination, focus, and quiet leadership to a program that challenges and expects me to become the best version of myself, as both an athlete, and a student.
