I am currently a Junior at Marshfield High School. I have been on the varsity baseball team since my sophomore year, unfortunately, my class did not have a Freshman year season due to COVID. I am very dedicated and respected by my teammates; they value the work I put in to impact our team's success. I have been a starting pitcher in both my Sophomore and Junior seasons. Along with pitching I also play third base. Some highlights of my pitching season this year include the following:
This season I have been nominated for High School Baseball Player of the Week in the Patriot Ledger twice. Along with this, I had a pitching record of 4 wins, 1 undecided, and 2 losses.
Playing baseball has taught me valuable life lessons that I transfer to my everyday life, and I would not be who I am today if it were not for baseball. It has taught me patience, perseverance, and the value of teamwork. I am highly motivated and extremely competitive. I am always striving to do better, by setting goals for myself both in the classroom and on the diamond. I make sure to do everything in my power to achieve my goals.
As a student, I hope to major in Finance or Business Management. I am an active member in the DECA program at my school which is a business club that competes in district, state and national competitions. I am also an avid golfer and have been a member of the MHS varsity golf team since my freshman year, competing in the MIAA state sectionals all four years. I appreciate you taking the time to read my personal statement and viewing my page, good luck in the current baseball season.
