March 2023Personal Statement
I am age 15, soon to be 16 in May of 2023. I am a 2025 at St. Clair High School, Located in St. Clair Michigan. This year I have struggled in Geometry but I have worked hard with the teacher during off class time to bring my grade up to a B+. I work hard in all my classes to constantly improve my GPA. I fully understand the meaning of student athlete. I believe in being coachable and showing great character on and off the field. I focus on training my body and mind. After practices and games I will head to the gym with my Dad for a workout. I speak with many college and MLB pitchers about focus time in college, and how to prepare now for the work in the classroom and the Ball field. I am working to create student habits, to help now and in the next level. I believe in being a teammate and being Humble. I believe there is a fine line between being "A DOG" and being respectful and humble. I believe it is healthy to have both, but to understand how to use the DOG in me. My goals this year are to increase my velocity to be in the 90s , but to maintain location and technique. My ultimate goal is to hit 90 before I turn 16. My pitches area, fast ball, curve/slider/cutter, changeup and Sinker. I was taught the sinker in November 2022, and have been working to perfect it. I would say my sinker is one of my out pitches. My ultimate goal is to play at the next level and ultimately reaching the majors. I am looking to study business, and to one day open a facility to train athletes for baseball and other sports.
