Hello. My name is Stevie Schmitt. I will be a senior at Eastview High School in Apple Valley, MN in the fall of 2021. I was born in February 2004. I am currently 5'10" and 155 pounds. I am a right handed hitter and right handed thrower. My primary position is catcher and my secondary position is third base. In my own words, I am baseball player at heart and I love the game. I have been playing since I was first able to on a team at four years old. I love to play and watch baseball whenever I can. I have had the opportunity to learn the game from many great coaches and my teammates. I know without them I wouldn't be the player that I am today.
When I am not playing baseball or not in school I enjoy playing golf, boating, and being active. School, baseball, and working as a team member in retail at Under Amour take up most of my time. Over the winter months I participate in the Hitter's Program and performance training at MASH in Eagan, MN. I have always had the support of my parents and sister when playing baseball - they are my biggest fans and that is also why I love playing so much also.
When it comes to college I would like to major in sports marketing or business. I would love to work for a baseball team on their marketing team or in their front office. As far as my most important accomplishments I played AAA in traveling baseball and on our high school baseball teams since I was a freshman in high school. Since my freshman year I have stated every game at catcher or third base. I usually hit 5th in the lineup.
In conclusion, I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a hard worker. I try to be a better student, baseball player, and person every day. On the field I communicate clear and loudly. Off of the field I would say I am a little quieter than most. Even though I am quiet, you will always find me cheering on my team mates. Coaches tell me that I am very coachable and always open to listening to advice.
Respectfully Submitted by Stevie Schmitt.
