Jacob Williams '25 Recruiting Profile

I have spent most of my life on some type of sports field/court. I am the youngest of five siblings. My brother played high school football and basketball and my sisters played softball, basketball and cheered. I started playing Tee ball in park and rec when I was four years old and have loved the game of baseball since then. I played on travel teams from age 8-13. I started playing baseball for my school in 7^th grade. The summer before my 8^th grade year, my high school coach asked me to move up and practice with the high school team. That year, I practiced with high school team and attended all games in the event he needed me but he allowed me to continue to play on the 8^th grade team as the primary catcher. That was an extremely busy season. I was at practice, a game, or both almost every night that season, but I loved it. My 9^th grade year, 2021-2022, I started all Varsity games for my high school at 1^st or 3^rd. In the summer/fall of 2022, I play catcher for Bobcats in the Cotton States Baseball League.

During my 7^th through 9^th grade years, I have been a three-sport athlete. I work hard and put forth maximum effort in all my sports. I have the drive and determination to continue to pursue baseball in college. I am looking for a college that will meet my academic needs and allow me to complete athletically.  I feel as if I have the talent and the leadership ability to play at the collegiate level.
