Personal Statement
I have been fortunate enough be able to travel and play competitive baseball throughout the U.S. and be exposed to many different colleges. I know what it takes to achieve my goal not only in baseball, but in the classroom as well. Getting the opportunity to travel as much as I've been able has allowed me to understand that no matter what challenges I face, if I stay determined and well centered I can win and accomplish any goal I want to achieve. I have faced many challenges throughout my years in baseball anywhere from mental toughness to making errors on the field. This has strengthened me as a player and I believe that I can compete at the next level knowing what it takes to get there.
Working with D1 coaches/instructors as a Catcher has helped me understand the leadership role of being a Catcher. I've always been a team leader, both on and off the field. I realize I am the attitude and the backbone of the team. I am to take charge in any situation to help my team succeed and win.
I want to play baseball, but I also want to get a quality education. I have always been dedicated in the classroom as a student to be at the top of the class and to work the hardest I possibly can. My education is very important to both me and my family.
