  • From Coach Kevin Meckna: The five tools of a baseball player Hitting for average: Gavin hit .639 last season. He is a pure hitter, good discipline at the plate. Aggressive early in the count and smart when down in the count. Great fundamentals at the plate. Great exit velo. Lower half in sync with upper half, very fluid swing Hitting for power: Gavin hit 7 home runs, 6 triples, 28 doubles 67 singles with 104 rbis in 68 games. Slug % was 1.000, OPS 1.721 and OBP .721. Has a lot of power but also hits for average as well. Speed: Super quick shuttle and solid straight-line speed on the bases. 118 stolen bases last season, no caught stealing. Fielding: Very clean mechanics. Plays first base primary but has the range to play third as well. Solid from the ground up. Field % .980 last year. Great arm, quick motion, smooth and polished. Very high IQ on the field. Arm strength: Great arm strength. Max velo is around 74 at 60 feet. Working on rotation rate. Feels comfortable throwing 3 pitches. Great arm in the field, quick delivery and very accurate. Other critical abilities for baseball players Mental toughness and baseball IQ: Gavin is very mentally strong on the field. He is positive, coachable and learns very quickly. His IQ is next level on the field. Great with anticipation and fluid when the ball is in play.

  • Description Loyalty Training is a sports performance training facility where our main focus is to help each athlete reach their athletic potential and individual goals through consistent development. In order to reduce injury, our athletes are first taught proper form and techniques through fundamental movements before moving onto more challenging and advanced exercises. Once a foundation is set, sport specific speed, agility, plyometric, and explosive movements that simulate real game-like situations are performed on a daily basis. Here at Loyalty we pride ourselves in providing a competitive, yet encouraging and enjoyable environment. Our environment, expertise, personability, and LOYALTY provides our athletes the greatest chance to succeed.
