Zane Jackson '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zane Jackson and I play baseball for Wayne High and Wayne Senior Legion as well as High School Football.  I am a good student with a 3.15 GPA and recently earned a 27 on my ACT.  I am hoping to further my education in college while playing baseball at the highest level I am capable of playing.  I really discovered how much I love baseball the last year when I was injured.  I had surgery on a broken elbow in October of 2016 which cost me several months of off season development.  I was cleared to play right before my High School Baseball season but things weren't quite right yet.  I tried to play through it but if greatly effected my swing and ability to throw.  We discovered there was another small crack caused by the screw from the first surgery so my season ended and I had another surgery to remove the screw.  I am 100% healthy now with no screws in my elbow and trying to make up for lost time.  

As a future college player I am excited to see what I can do with access to good off season facilities and year round attention to baseball.  Indoor batting cages and places to throw a baseball aren't available to me in Wayne Nebraska and I am sure I can really develope quickly when I have those type of facilities to use year round.    I have a very good frame at 6'2" 220lbs and feel I can become a great catcher and power hitter from both sides at the college level.  I am currently playing on an elite team out of Omaha that will be traveling around playing the local college teams to see how I stack up and my coaches are confident I will be successful
