Personal Statement
Hi Coach,
My name is CJ Egrie. I am a 2021 uncommitted MIF from Ventnor, NJ. I also am a varsity WR/DB on the football team. I have played the clarinet for 6 years, and will be inducted into the NMHS this year. I want to find a school that best fits my academic goals as well as my athletic goals. I know that I would make any program that chooses me better, and I have a few reasons why. Many people talk about work ethic and time spent on the field working on there skills. While I spend many MANY hours on a field, in a cage or in the weight room to get better, that's not what sets me apart. I have been told my whole life that my size will keep me from achieving my goals. I try very very hard to use that negative talk to motivate me to prove them all wrong, and then get rid of the negative. I use it to motivate me to run faster, work better, etc, but to also make myself the best teammate possible. I try very hard to be a good team player for my coaches and my teammates when they hear the negatives..to keep them competing with me. I know I have plenty of areas on the field and off to get better in, and look forward to the challenge. I can t wait to contribute to a top level program. I know I can play with some of the beat in the country at the top level it feels as if that is what I was born to do
