Matt Tannenbaum '19 Recruiting Profile

 Baseball has been a big part of my life and our family.  Many vacations have been planned around travel tournaments and my parents have supported me on this journey.  Like many players it has not always been easy; slumps are difficult in the moment  however the important hit/play makes it  all worthwhile.  I started varsity as a sophomore. I have learned to deal with adversity; when you make a mistake there is always someone right behind you waiting to fill the spot.  In 2017 my team went on to win Conference, Sectional and State titles.  I again was fortunate to start at 2nd base my junior year (2018). My team won the sectional playoffs and came up 1 run short in the NJ State Group 3 championship game.   I have 1 year of highschool ball (2019) and then will be off to college.  My goal is to attend a good academic school  preferably on the east coast and hopefully continue playing baseball at the collegiate level.  I have met so many great people along the way, coaches and players, and hope to continue this journey for an additional 4 years.
