Jake Jones '18 Recruiting Profile

I am very honest and hard working in the classroom and on the field. I give 100% in everything that I do. You will find that I have built a very strong character along my travels as a mentor for our little league, helping out in clinics that our high school puts on for little league and as a youth umpire for the little league in my home town.

I lead my team by influencing in a positive way and encourage all players to be their best to win every pitch and every out for each inning. I have an approach to the game that encourages all players to be pure and professional win or lose. I will teach, as I have been taught, to respect the game, coaches, team mates, opposing teams members, fans, and umpires with dignity and respect. I will strive be a role model and a candidate to be used as a recruiting example for the college that I play for.

I would like earn the opportunity to play baseball all 4 years and would like to work hard in order to help my team. I have a very strong work ethic and am dedicated to my academic and athletic programs. My goals are as follows: 1. My academic goal is to graduate college with a minimum of 3.5 GPA and go on to graduate school. 2. My athletic goal is to help my team win games and compete in Omaha at the CWS making enough memories to last a lifetime with great friends and team mates/coaches.
