Ryan McNulty '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan McNulty, I am 17 years old and live in Ringoes, NJ. I am a senior in High School.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been in love with the game of baseball. Since starting high school, I have become extremely dedicated and focused on exceeding in the sport. I train during the winters in a horse barn in Lebanon, NJ and play either school or travel teams throughout the spring, summer, and fall. My main coach/mentor through all of this has been Bill Malloy, a former pitcher in the San Francisco Giants organization. We have been working together for over a year now and he stresses proper mechanics and good command. He has made me mentally tough on the mound and has led me to a lot of success during the past year.

My parents, Cathleen and Mark, have always stressed grades before baseball to me during my lifetime. Thanks to that, I have a 4.2 weighted GPA in high school throughout my junior year while maintaining a rigorous schedule of honors and AP classes. Baseball is extremely important to me and I dream of moving on to the next level and playing college ball but I also keep in mind that my education is of equal importance and will help me succeed in life.

Although probably a hackneyed statement, I am an extremely hard worker and team-first player. Furthermore, I have proven over the years that I can balance academics with baseball very well. I appreciate all the lessons the game has taught me and I look forward to improving my baseball skills on the next level.
