Dylan Palmer '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Dylan Palmer and I am a  senior at Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ. I transferred from my prior high school as a sophomore. My biggest collegiate goal and aspiration is to find a school that offers a strong academic education that can prepare me for life beyond the classroom, in addition to the opportunity to continue playing baseball at a competitive collegiate level.

I play middle infield primarily second but also shortstop. I have also played outfield and fit into the stereotypical second baseman - I'm small in stature, but big in heart that hustles on every play and gives maximum effort in the field. At the plate, I feel that I am a contact hitter with the ability to hit to all parts of the field. I am a player who knows my game  and doesn’t try to play any other way.  I have a high on base percentage and then use my speed as a threat to defenses. I think the Best part of my game is my fielding. I have put hours and hours mastering technique and everything you need to know as a middle infielder. I’ve always been told I was too small, skinny, weak and that I would never play at the next level and those words fuel me every time I’m in the weight room, at practice or in the game.

I am seeking a  challenging school both academically and athletically. My personality is even keeled and somewhat reserved until I get to know someone. When I'm on the field though, I become much more vocal and like to motivate my teammates to be the best they can be individually and as a team.
