I visualize my time in college as an opportunity to continue my personal growth. My plan is to choose a major that will position me well to attend law school and to become an attorney. On the field, my goal is to always be a hardworking and athletic player, lead by example, serve as a positive motivator to my teammates, and be an important asset to the team as a middle infielder, third baseman, outfielder, right-handed pitcher, and a strong offensive producer in the batting lineup. As I keep growing physically and intellectually throughout my baseball career, I will always strive to get better and keep my head up as I learn from my mistakes. I take great pride in conducting myself with honor, giving respect to others, and showing good sportsmanship on and off the field as I know my actions will impact my team, my coaches, and the school I represent.
In addition to playing baseball for my high school and competitive travel team, I was a varsity cross country runner, and love to play golf in my spare time. Academically, I take the most challenging classes my school offers, including 6 AP classes so far (plus 4 more in my senior year), and work hard to earn excellent grades. As a rising senior, I currently have a cumulative 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 5.375 weighted GPA. Outside of the classroom, I am an active member of my school's Key Club, a community service organization, and work with young students as a teacher's helper in Sunday school. However, what I am most proud of is my efforts with the NJ nonprofit, Me4You, Inc., I founded with my older brother in 2014 (www.Me4You.org). Our mission is to inspire kids to get involved throughout their communities, to promote the concept of "paying it forward," and to show kids how their efforts can make the world a better place. In addition to raising money for local charities, Me4You collects used sports equipment, clothing for the homeless, organizes and distributes items to disaster victims, entertains seniors, and tutors students.
Although I am extremely driven to excel athletically as a baseball player and academically as a student, my teachers, coaches and friends will all tell you that I am a friendly, well-rounded, social and easy-going person who is not afraid of working hard to achieve the goals I set for myself. I cannot wait to become a part of a competitive and successful baseball program at a college that will challenge me academically and prepare me for my future.
