Hi I am James Grimes, I am a 16 year old soon to be junior at croton Harmon high school. As an 8th grader I played on the junior varsity team. I started in right field batting first. As a freshman I was the ace of the team played right field, batting second. I won the MVP award batting over .400. With a below 1.0 era. As a sophomore I was given the option by my varsity coach to play up on varsity, but I would only get 3 or 4 pitching starts; or stay on jv hone my skills, starts every inning of every game, at the end of the season I would be moved up to varsity. I chose option 2. As a sophomore I batted .320. I was given 6 starts on jv 41 innings pitched with a .01 era. On varsity I was given 1 start, I pitched 5 innings 4 hits, 2 strike outs, 0 walks, with an ecconomic 52 pitches giving up no earned runs. Are senior closer came into the game blowing the lead, we eneded up losing in the 9th inning on a walk off. Sophomore year I won the MVP award for the second season in a row. I am a school first type of man. I put every thing into school, coming in for extra help in the mornings or staying after class in the afternoon, my teachers can contest to that. In school I get good grades I am at a solid 86 average cumlitive though freshman and sophomore year. on top of school and baseball I am an umpire for the ebua and I work at umami cafe down the street from my house. I think of my self as a hard worker, when I set my mind to something I accomplish it.
