It’s not work if you enjoy what you’re doing. To me, it’s not that I just enjoy sports, I enjoy the competition, the teamwork, and of course winning. My favorite sport is baseball, but I enjoy all sports. I have been playing ball since I was 5, baseball, basketball, then roller hockey and then flag football and finally tackle football. I just don’t enjoy playing sports, I enjoy watching sports and learning the fundamentals as well as the history of the players who developed the game.
As a result of playing these team sports I have learned many valuable qualities that I can implement on and off the field. These include the ability to work with others and harmonize with my teammates. I know that on a team, everybody is depending on each other and everybody has a job to fulfill. For that reason I have experienced an abundance of adversity on the field where I had to adapt individually, and with my team to face the challenge and move on with the game. Being a part of a team has taught me to work with purpose and compete in all aspects of life. Whether it's in the classroom, practice, scrimmage, or a game.
I work hard all year round to improve my game. I have been a three-sport athlete since I started high school. Playing JV baseball, basketball and football freshman year, and being moved up to play Varsity baseball along with JV football and JV basketball my sophomore year. I’ve been playing travel baseball since I was 8 years old and it has given me the opportunity to play against some of the best talent on the east coast.
I work hard in the classroom maintaining a high GPA. Because of this I have won the high scholar awards for JV football twice and JV basketball twice. I have also been on the Principals List every quarter in high school, which means I have never failed to maintain a 95+ average.
I want to play baseball at the highest level possible and push myself academically, mentally and physically. I am open to all possibilities and I want to find the best match for me.
