Personal Statement
My freshman year, we were expected to not have a baseball team. All the coaches were going around asking kids who have never played before. When we were finally able to scrape together a team, we were off to a rough start, losing our first seven games. But after we started to have fun we went on a streak. We persevered all the way to the section finals and lost. With this being the highlight of my career I learned to never give up and always have faith in the team I'm playing for. This experience helped me grow as a person and made me focus on becoming the player that can perform at the college level, with of course the love and support of my parents.
Fortunately for me, I am able to play for a program full of good people and hard workers at my high school. We don't always come out on top but we always tried our best. I'm never the tallest one on my team, and because of my size it has taught me to stay determined, always work harder than the people around you, and stay dedicated to the task at hand and try to earn my place the hard way. I have learned with baseball comes failure. But I don't let that failure knock me down, I use it as an opportunity to make me better. I am looking for a program that fits me academically with a physical therapy program so that one day I can help other athletes through their hardships and to better hone their skills. With my work-ethic, always striving to be the best at what I'm doing, and determination I believe I will make a positive impact on your program and achieve my highest goals!
