Matthew Rash '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matt Rash and I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old.  I will be a senior this year and am hoping to continue playing baseball throughout my college career.  Academically I plan to get my bachelor’s degree in History and then continue on to get a Masters in Teaching.

I have been the starting shortstop on the Schalmont Varsity Baseball team since I was a sophomore. This past season our team won both class B and BB Regional Championships to advance to the final four in the New York State Class B Division.  This year I also received an Honorable Mention for the 2016 NY State All-Stars for the short stop position.  During the off seasons I have played baseball on the Storm travel team, local Babe Ruth and subsequently, Connie Mack teams.  During the winter season I play basketball for Schalmont and have played on the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.

I look forward to graduating from High School and continuing my passion with baseball at the college level.
