Personal Statement
I have played competitive baseball since I was 8 years old. The game has taught me many lessons: the value of being a good teammate, the importance of playing with a positive attitude, and how to perform under pressure. I have experienced the excitement of a big win and the disappointment of a tough loss. I've always been a team leader that's easy to coach and works hard to improve every day. Lessons learned on the baseball field have helped me be a better student, a stronger leader, and a more well-rounded person. While my goal is to earn a degree, I have experienced the benefits of being a student athlete and I hope to continue this at the collegiate level. For the most part I've always played infield, middle infield, 1st and 3rd base, but my junior year of high school I was needed in the outfield. I played mostly in the corners and improved as the season went on making myself one of the best utility players in our league.
