2015 FlipagramMy name is Brian Ford, I am 6'3'' and weigh 165 pounds. Currently, I am preparing for my Junior year at McNicholas High school a private school in Cincinnati,OH. My current focus is to improve my skills as well as training to get bigger, faster and stronger. During the offseason,I have been working hard to accomplish these goals. Firstly, by working with a strength coach and hitting the gym on my free time. Also, I train with a pitching and hitting instructor 2 times a week.To track improvement and gain feedback, I have actively attended college coaches camps and showcases.
The very moment I was released from the hospital, I was rushed to a siblings ball game. Needless to say, my family loves sports.I grew up with a ball in my hand wanting to play. Since a very young age, I dreamed of playing baseball both in college and professionally. Im that kid who played imaginary baseball games in the backyard. Yes, I hit the game winning homerun in the bottom of the ninth inning!
Baseball is a game that I truly love, but most importantly, it has already taught me life lessons. Firstly, you must be committed to getting better every day. To have success and improve, you must work hard when no ones looking. Also, you have to keep trying even when times are tough. You must know how to deal with both failure and success. Act like you been there before; win graciously and with honor. Lastly, I have developed a team-first attitude, because you cant win by yourself. These life lessons have prepared me to compete both academically and athletically in college.
Playing college baseball and getting a degree are my 2 main goals. I am looking for a college that best fits me academically and athletically. Also,I want to attend a college where I can push myself to become the best Brian Ford I can be both on and off the field. I strive to be a positive role model for those who look up to me.Most importantly, I am looking for an opportunity to make a positive contribution to a baseball team, as I am open to any role to help my team win.
