When I was younger I was never really interested in sports, but as I got older I have become very competitive so I try my best at everything I do. In third grade I started playing tackle football. I realized it wasn't the sport for me so I haven't played on an organized team since. Then, I would say in either fourth or fifth grade I decided that I would give baseball a try. I never played it before so I didn't even really know what to do. As soon as I picked up a bat and a glove and started batting or fielding I knew that baseball was my sport. I couldn't believe it because my first year I have ever played I was hitting inside the park home runs. Ever since then I have been working my tail off, whether it's hitting off the tee, playing catch with my dad, or practicing everything with a good friend of ours who coaches a travel team. One thing I love about baseball is that it lets you learn life lessons. My personal favorite life lesson is that you should never get down on yourself, even if it's not on the baseball diamond. I have learned that from personal experience because I used to get mad if I missed a play or struck out but it just made me make the same mistakes over again. That is why I always try to cheer my teammates up in the dugout so it doesn't happen to them. I think I have a unique personality, people say i'm funny, I love working on my game, I like fishing, hunting, building stuff, playing video games, and I like cooking a little bit too. I was thinking about going to college to be a civil engineer, but that could change at any moment. I truly have a passion and love for the game of baseball and I am willing to put in any amount of work to accomplish my dream and ultimate goal of making it to the MLB.
