09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Chris is a physical 1B/RHP (6'1/195lb). At 1B, Chris continues to show good footwork around the bag. On the ground ball he shows fluid actions with good glove presentation out front. Offensively, Chris shows great balance in his stroke. He swings a quick bat with intent to do damage (87 mph exit velo). On the mound, Chris displays solid mechanics with a 3/4 arm slot. He has a 3 pitch mix with fastball (81 mph), breaking ball (67 mph) and change up (73 mph). The breaking ball has a 11/5 action with early break and the change up shows great effectiveness with good arm speed. All in all, Chris is a promising prospect with big upside.

Notes –Tall, athletic with a great frame for age. Still very young and growing into those feet! Exciting build for 15 years old, will continue to add strength to frame. Continue to work hard on speed and agility as that body keeps growing. Overall, outstanding young prospect with a chance to be special. Very strong arm at 1B with a quick release. Athletic defender plays from the ground up. Everything is fluid. Hands are soft, plays with confidence. Has the arm strength and athleticism to play anywhere, should not limit himself to 1B (Could be a great 3B as well. Could play SS with added footspeed). Aggressive swing, already showing way above bat speed and power for age. Balanced, swings hard, uses whole body. Can get a little long at times, make sure to stay direct and use whole field (don’t just pull). On the mound, also well above average for age. Throws downhill with good extension. Curveball needs most work, be sure to stay on top. Will be exciting to watch grow into frame. Overall…one thing that really stood out about Chris is his desire to play. He does everything at max effort, does not take plays off. You can see he is a gamer, and that is special.

Hit: Physical bat form the right side. Natural tools are well above average for class. Intent driven stroke that works inside the baseball. Middle-back approach in BP. Power: Gap abilities. Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling. Max BP Exit Velocity: 82mph. Max BP Distance: 248ft. Field: Good athlete over at first base who gets off the bag with above average lateral mobility. Ball skills are developing. Throw: Arm profiles at the position. Defensive Projection: 1B. Scouting Notes: Definite follow in 2024 class. Easy velocity through a 3/4 slot. Fastball will add east velo and he can also spin a tight breaking ball. Fastball: 74-76mph. Fastball Spin Rate: 1853-1994 Breaking Ball: 59-62mph. Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1945-2007
