This journey began when I was five years old, and I started playing T-ball at the YMCA. From there, I went to machine pitch, nine-year-old kid pitch and began playing travel ball at 10. When I was 12, we won a Super Series World Series Championship at the Majors level, and at age 14 we won a USSSA World Series Championship at the Majors level. Also, I was selected to the 14U regional Team USA and made it to Carry, NC. What an unbelievable opportunity, experience and memory I will cherish forever as my USA jersey hangs in my closet.
I was a three sport letterman my freshman year, starting centerfield, shortstop, pitched and was leadoff hitter. Also, I played football and was the Varsity back-up QB and started varsity Basketball my freshman year. My sophomore year I started centerfield, shortstop, 3B, pitcher and was our 3hole hitter and led the team in home runs. My Sophomore year I started slot receiver, H Back, PAT Holder and backup QB. My junior year, I started Varsity QB. I started 1B, OF and was 5th in Hitting, 2nd in HR and 3rd in RBI’s on the Varsity Baseball Team.
I have passion and love for the game of baseball that developed early in life. The lessons I continue to learn in athletics are easily applied to other areas of my life. In addition, academics is at the top of my priority list. Here are some of my other accomplishments as well: Presidential Academic Award, Superintendent Honor Roll, Principal Honor Roll, Student Council, Class Representative, Student of the Quarter, Yearbook Editor, Principal Honor Roll, Student Council and Special Olympics Volunteer.
I am fortunate to be part of an amazing and winning High Scholl athletic program. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
With sincere interest,
JoJo Craig
