Eric Queer '18 Recruiting Profile

Playing varsity baseball in my sophomore year, having three pitching starts and being undefeated in each of my starts was a highlight for me.  My sophomore year was the first time in eight years that our high school baseball team made it into the playoffs.  I felt that our combined team efforts and my ability to stay composed on the mound in pressure situations was a contributing factor to my success last year and helpful to the team getting into the playoffs.  I was also honored to have been selected to pitch in the 2016 Legion All-Stars.  

I am constantly aware of my personal limits and strive very hard to push myself further to improve.  I work diligently to overcome the desire to just throw hard.  I have learned to strengthen and stretch my muscles to keep myself healthy and fit so that I can perform to the best of my abilities.  

I am looking for a college that will be able to support my academic field of choice and also allow me the opportunity to pursue my interest in playing baseball at the college level.

I know that I must remain disciplined not only on the baseball field, but also academically to maintain solid grades.  I learned the value and spirit of teamwork through my years of playing and realize that baseball is a combination of individuals working and cooperating together to have a successful team.  My ability to accurately locate pitches, my work ethic, and leadership qualities on and off the mound will allow me to make a solid impact in the upcoming years and for my college teammates.
