Shawn Kiernan (Fu...I don't want my senior year of high school to be my last year of me playing baseball competitively at a high level. I want to keep playing at the next level and can promise dedication and hard work to represent the name on the front of the jersey, not the back. Baseball was introduced to me at a very early age of 18 months when my grandpa put a baseball in my hand when I was standing in a play pen. Athletically, I feel like I would be a major asset to any team due to my work ethic and aspiration to get better. More importantly, my education is first and baseball second, seeing how I would major in a classroom, not on the field. Academically I would be a great addition to any university/college because I want to be the best student I can be because my education will take me farther in life than my ability to play baseball. I have been a 3 sport varsity athlete since sophomore year (3 years of varsity soccer, 2 years of varsity basketball, and 3 years of varsity baseball), and I plan on playing all three sports my senior year. I understand that baseball is a privilege and I would be blessed to represent a school, but more importantly I want to get a great education and graduate with a diploma and a degree. I would be blessed to have an opportunity to play college baseball and make the most of every day if I get the chance.
