From an early age I have always enjoyed being outdoor and active. I developed "the love for the game" around four years old and haven't stopped since. I never had a position "home" as a rec league player; I was always moved around to play wherever coach wanted me. It wasn't until coach's pitch that I fell in love with catching. As the years went by, I continued to develop as a catcher and then pitcher. I pushed myself to progress on my throw down accuracy and velo, footwork, and transition time. On the bump, I continued to work alone on the pitches I could throw. I worked to develop 5 pitches with my slider being my favorite. As a player who has never had any formal lessons yet played alongside plenty of talent that has, I am proud of what I contribute to my teams. I just desire to help where I am needed - catching, pitching, first, right, left or third.
I also worked really hard at developing a level head so I could be the best teammate and coachable player. I always try to keep a positive dugout energy, regardless of if I'm playing or not. Off the filed, I love working with Special Olympics and I work part time. It's important to me to be able to continue giving back if I'm lucky enough to play collegiately. I may not be the smartest, fastest, or even the best but I work hard, stay positive, treat others with respect, and stay motivated/eager.
