Baseball has been in my life since the day I could walk. Since the first time I stepped on the field, laced up and ready to play, I have always aspired to play the game I love at the collegiate level. College baseball is a once in a lifetime experience that I want to fulfill.
I have strong fielding skills and batting is my best area of performance. I was featured in the “Hudson Valley 10 to know” press article by PBR New York. I am very coachable and love to learn new things both on and off the field. I also bring to the table my high baseball IQ, along with strong physical and mental toughness. On the field I bring the vocals as a leader and motivator to my teammates. I will constantly encourage my fellow teammates to get better each day and do what I can to help contribute to their success along with my own. I am constantly in the weight room as I look to be the strongest I can be in pursuit of my dream to play baseball at the collegiate level. I work hard year round on my baseball skills while also being a well rounded athlete in two sports. Basketball and baseball have taught me lessons that I will retain and remember forever. Both sports have taught me the importance of bonding as a team and becoming more of a brotherhood than a team. In basketball we are constantly pushing each other to perform at the highest level we possibly can, we work to better each other and come together to succeed. This lesson does not only apply on the field or on the court, this applies to all aspects of life.
My goal is to put my all into everything I do whether that is on the field or in the classroom. Over the years I have maintained a high GPA and plan to keep it that way. I was placed in the high honor roll and was inducted into the National Honor society. As a student-athlete I have found a balance between my schooling and sports which has brought success in both. I make sure to work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. My academics are very important in my life as I would like to study and major in Physical Therapy or Physical Training, while also minoring in business. I feel my calling is to help guide other athletes along their journey and to provide them with my knowledge of the game while also helping them better themselves in the weight room and on the field. I feel that I bring leadership not only on the field but in the classroom too as I will try my best to help my friends if they are struggling.
I want to attend a college where I can not only better myself on the field but in every other aspect of life. I want to play at the highest competitive level possible and push myself on the field to become a great athlete. I am open to all options and want to find the perfect fit. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers, and to ultimately make my parents and family proud.
