Being the starting short stop for the Post 22 Hardhats has been the highlight of my baseball career. I dreamed of this position since being the bat boy for this prestigious program as a seven and eight year old boy. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete during my freshman year when I was designated to a pitcher only role for the varsity team. That experience helped me grow both as a player and as an individual. Mentally and emotionally, I had to make the decision to joyfully accept my role and focus my efforts on becoming a strong influence on and off the field. I became determined to look at and work for the long haul with my goal of becoming a solid infielder and right hand pitcher skilled to play at the college level.
I have been fortunate enough to be part of Post 22 Hardhats, an amazing program, that has won 46 state titles in the last 60 years. This program focuses on forging strong young men through the game of baseball. Playing for this program has continued to mold me in terms of leadership, teamwork, and commitment. I look forward to finding a program that fits me both academically and athletically. I believe that I have the character, representing Christ both on and off the field, and athletic traits to make an immediate impact on your program. As a multi-sport varsity athlete, vice-president of the school body, and service leader, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader in your college and baseball program.
I have a very supportive family always encouraging me in all parts of my life. I know what it’s like to experience academic challenges and how important determination is in order to come out on top. I’m looking forward to completing a four year college degree with a BA or BS in order to further opportunities toward a career. I have been fortunate to have my great grandfather, grandfather, dad, mother, uncle, aunt and cousin compete in sports at the college level. They have shared the ups and downs of partaking in high level college sports while striving to obtain an educational goal. I look forward to following in their footsteps and achieving their levels of greatness both on and off the field.
