Personal Statement

My name is Houghston Schaefer. I am a 2021 graduate at Rhea County High School in Evensville, Tennessee. I was born March 25, 2002 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  I am currently  5' 11" and 167 pounds. I am a right-handed hitter and thrower. My primary position is anywhere in the outfield and pitcher;  however, I can play any position as needed except catcher. I love the game of baseball and I have played almost my entire life. Even when baseball is in the offseason I still work on my game by taking lessons, hitting, and throwing in my free time. I also love going to church and studying the word in my free time. I finished my junior year with a cumulative GPA of 3.9 (cumulative honors GPA 4.3).  I will be the first in my family to attend college and plan to major in Accounting or Business Administration with a minor in Legal Studies or Liberal Arts. From there I plan to go on and get my law degree. I am a hard worker, fast learner, coachable, and humble guy.
