I think everyone aspires to be the best in what they do, but what I enjoy is the grind. I love the two a day practices, the getting up at 5:00 a.m for the gym, I love the path, not necessarily the destination. I am from Memphis, TN and we have a blue collar approach to life. We just work! No excuses, no pauses, no procrastination, what you get out of life is what you put in to it. I've been playing baseball since I could walk but what drives me is the self motivation to be better, to learn, to improve, to grow. This permeates everything in my life whether it be my faith, my school work, my athletics, or my love of family and friends. I'm not satisfied with ordinary. I want to be extraordinary; it may be that little "extra" but that is what motivates me.
I am a power hitting 3B/1B RHP from Memphis, TN. I want to study medicine when my baseball career is finished. I am a good student and I love the gym. I will be the first one at practice, the last one to leave, and the first one out of the dugout to greet a team mate that had a great inning or pick him up when it was a bad one. I will be the best representation of what you want in a student athlete and will represent your program off and on the field as an ambassador of your goals and your team.
I will be that student athlete that you look to lead and be an example to others of how to have balance in the classroom and excel on the diamond. I look forward to the grind with you coach, I just need an opportunity.
