Hello, my name is Callan Frazier. I am in the class of 2024 at Angleton, TX located south of Houston. I started playing baseball when I was 5 in the Austin area, and throughout my childhood, baseball has always been a part of my family. Both my dad and uncle played at the collegiate level, and I absorbed that passion. We play baseball, go to baseball games, and watch it whenever it is on TV. At age 9, I decided to exclusively play travel baseball because I felt like I needed something more competitive. I was a stand-out player on my younger select teams, and by age 14, I had hit more than 20 home runs over the fence. The most exciting one was: the bottom of the 7th, two-out, walk-off grand slam at the 13u Central Texas World Series to win the championship and earn MVP of the tournament. It was a dream of a moment, and I hope I can make more of them in years to come in either high school, select, or eventually college ball. Currently, I am on Angleton's Varsity baseball team as a junior and in the starting lineup as an OF.
Besides baseball, I strive to be the best in academics and additional extracurriculars. The work I put in the classroom translates to my grades with a 4.0 GPA. I am ranked 2nd out of my class of 479 and want to maintain at least the top 3% throughout high school. This year I am in many AP classes and hope to gain college credit for my degree. During the fall, I was on the Varsity football team and proved to be a key player in an extremely tough district. I also consider my faith to be a large part of my life. I am active in my church's youth group which has allowed me to better the community and my personal life. Growing up in the church has made choir a valuable part of my life as I have earned region two years in a row at AHS. Just recently, our school choir achieved the highest scores in our prestigious UIL performances. In my free time, if I'm not practicing baseball, I will be on the water with a fishing rod in my hand or hiking through trails with my family. Even though I have a busy schedule, I love everything I do, especially baseball, and know that there are great opportunities in my future. Thank you and God Bless!
