Personal Statement

My name is Cameron Simpson. I am 6’2, 205 lbs. and am a Senior at  West Brook High School.  I play first base, run a 6.7 60M and a 4.8 40M. I currently hold a 3.50 GPA and I am ranked in the top 25% of my class. My current class enrollment is 559. I have served as Junior Representative and currently serving as Senior Representative for Student Council. I serve my campus and community through the West Brook Interact Club,  and the Southeast Texas Food Bank. When time allows I serve with community leaders with both the Rotary Club of Beaumont and the Spindle Top Rotary Club.  I am a current candidate for the National Junior Honor Society.

Failure is something I cannot have, I set goals for myself and work hard to achieve those goals.  I am willing to do what I need to do in preparation to be the player I envision myself to be. I clearly see myself playing at the next level.  In order to get to the next level, I know I have to work hard and continue to dedicate the time I need both on and off the field to make that happen. I am open to all schools and look to explore careers in the field of sports management. I would like to go to a school where I feel I can have a balance between my classes and the field. Right now, I am working on my speed and strength training. I take pride in building relationships with both my teammates and coaches.
