Personal Statement

I strive to do my best every day, and be the best me that I can be.  I consistently work hard to achieve the goals that I have set for myself.  I believe that success tomorrow depends on the choices I make today.

Academics are very important to me I work extremely hard to maintain my high grade point average.  I know that good grades will allow me to choose the college, and major of my choice.

I also work hard in sports.  Sometimes it does not feel so much like work, because I love to compete.  Besides the organized practice that everyone on my team attends, I  work all week trying to perfect my skills.  I use  my bands everyday to take care of my arm, watch videos to improve my mechanics and use drills to become more successful.

Besides working hard, I try to be a good son, friend and teammate.

  • 06/04/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Chase is an OF/SS prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame athletic build with strength present. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.73 seconds. His athleticism is off the chart as he broad jumped 9'2" and ran a 4.2 home to 1st. He wowed the scouts with a 100mph pull down during testing. In the OF good first step reads enables him to cover ground in all directions with ability to finish plays. Showed good lateral range as he works behind the baseball with a high 1-hand catch. Made on-line throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 100mph. At SS he showed athletic actions, with quick/fluid footwork, and has a cannon for an arm. Works from right to left, with ability to pick out hops, and fields from an athletic fielding position with hands out front. Has a short arm stroke with ability to throw from multiple arm slots. At the plate he hits from a crouched and even stance. Hits into a firm frontside and is centered at contact. Has an explosive bat through the hitting zone with natural juice in his swing. Hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 92mph. With another year of development, we foresee the 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.
  • Camp/Event
  • Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS)
  • 9/02/22 to 9/04/22
  • Chase is an outstanding SS prospect in the 2024 class. His measurables jump off the page (91 velo, 6.97 runner and 88 exit speed) and scouts love his actions and energy. In the field, he displays advanced athleticism. Plays on the balls of his feet and feet are active to the baseball. Has a quick 1st step and movements are agile. Plays under the baseball and works from the ground up. Catch to release is solid and uses a short and quick release from numerous arm angles. His feeds are accurate on turns and ball has life across the diamond. At the plate, his hands are comfortable, electric and shows gap-to-gap production. Generates loud and hard contact with an explosive lower half. Also has plate discipline and has understanding of his path for coverage. Overall, there are many things to like about Chase's overall game and he has a chance to make a major impact at the college level.

  • PG Grade 8.5/ Top Prospect List HIT: 8 POWER: 8 FIELDING: 8.5 Cameron Chase Randall is a 2024 SS/OF/UT with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Bullard, TX who attends Bullard. Medium frame with a lean athletic build. Primary shortstop, athletic on the dirt with simple actions to both sides, good positioning to receive the ball, funnels to mid line and arm strength plays well across, up to 84 across infield. Also plays outfield, tracks the ball and carries momentum well through it, arm strength really showed, clocked up to 90 mph with good low carrying accurate throws. Right-handed hitter, wide base and simple short stride into his process, has some length to the stroke with good present bat speed, gets extended well out front and finishes hard, repeats everything well and shows a good foundation to project on. Outstanding student.

  • PG Graded Overall 8, Top Prospect Team https://www.perfectgame.org/Players/Playerprofile.aspx?ID=743338 Cameron Chase Randall is a 2024 SS/IF, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Bullard, TX who attends Bullard. Posted a 7.00 in the 60. Primary SS has a good feel to finish plays and a sound fundamental base. His range will progress as the mobility advances but there is present awareness for the position. Has an idea to adjust slot and maintain momentum, effective overall and should continue to refine smoothly as he matures. In the outfield the arm is versatile with good strength and easy actions. The athleticism plays well in both spots to advance on. Right-handed hitter starts with a spread stance and squares on time. Works shorter to contact with good hands, great impact to project on as well with enough to carry to all fields. Good student.

  • Chase continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. At SS, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are soft/sure and presents well out front. Feet/hands work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy/carry (81 mph velocity) on his throws. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) generating bat speed through an aggressive swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he has strength in his swing with gap to gap pop. On the mound, delivery is repeatable allowing his arm action to work well to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 78-79 mph with arm side run.

At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. With 4 years to further develop, Chase has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.
