Braedon Sims '17 Recruiting Profile

My goals after graduation in 2017 are to continue playing baseball at a college with a competitive program, and earn a degree in Pre-med and specialize in Sports Medicine.  I am a strong candidate for any program because of my focus, drive and passion for baseball. I have a willingness to adapt to different styles of coaching and philosophies.  I understand the importance of leadership on and off the field.  Being a leader in student council and band has helped me to lead by action. I work hard in the classroom as much as I do on the field.  I compete in UIL math and science; Number Sense, Calculator, Science and Social Studies and I am 3rd in my class of 122.  I scored a 1320 of 1520 on my PSAT which was in the top 97% percentile and a 31 on the ACT also in the 97% percentile.  I feel a lot of people say they can play any position but I believe I am a true utility player.  I have played all around the diamond; any place coach needed me I played.  Most recently I was a starting pitcher, 3rd base, backup catcher and center fielder.  I will be playing this summer on the East Texas 1776 pitching and 3rd base.
