April 2020My name is Braeden Banks Talamantez. I was born on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on January 21, 2003. I grew up a military brat while my dad served in the U. S. Air Force. My first two years were spent on Terceira Island which is located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and belongs to Portugal. From there we moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. That is where I started my love of baseball. I started playing for Cheyenne Little League at the age of 4. Five years later we moved to Bossier City, Louisiana. I signed up for Bossier Little League, not only as a player but as a volunteer to help maintain the fields and serve the community. I started playing select ball in Louisiana when I was 11 years old. When my dad retired from the military in 2014 we moved to Portland, Texas. I played for Gregory-Portland Pony League for 3 years. I have played select since moving here. I consider myself a utility player as I have experience at every position on the field but, my main positions are pitcher and middle infield. I currently attend Gregory-Portland High School. I have had straight A’s since the first grade and was selected to the National Junior Honor Society while in junior high and the National Honor Society in high school. I also played football and ran track in junior high. My love of baseball has grown since I started playing. I love practicing, watching and learning, and competing. My dream is to play at the next level.
