Joshua Marcellus '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joshua Marcellus I’m 17 years old and in the class of 2020 at Sachse High School (Garland ISD) in Sachse, TX. I aspire to play college baseball while majoring in Psychology. When I was in 7^th grade I played on the varsity team for a public charter school called International Leadership of Texas. I was named to the TCSAAL All-State and TCSAAL North Texas All- Region teams. I also made the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy 18u All-Star RBI travel team this past summer (2018).  I was nominated to participate in the Metro Scout League for Fall of 2014, and was recently nominated again for the Fall 2018. I also competed in the Junior Olympics for swimming in 2012. My current GPA is 2.91.  In addition, my High School academic success has afforded me the opportunity to be a member of NSHSS, National Society of High School Scholars.  I have been named a Captain for the Sachse High School Baseball team for the 2019-2020 school year. In addition I was selected to attend the MLB BreakThrough Series Camp (Player Development Prospect Pipeline) in Compton, CA Summer of 2019.

I am passionate about baseball.  My goal is to play college baseball and then play baseball in the MLB.  I am excited about what the future holds for me and I am looking forward to playing baseball at the next level.
