Blake Smith '18 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has been an important part of my life since before I could read properly. Now that I'm older it is still as much apart of my life as anything, although my goals have changed. Instead of looking to play with the Allstar team or winning the tournament, I'm now focused on extending my career in baseball. On the field, I am very relaxed but know when to settle down and take things seriously. This helps me maintain focus and perform to the best of my ability.

I enjoy playing baseball because it's been around my family and I my whole life. I grew up watching and playing it and I've never devoted myself so completely to anything before baseball. This sport creates a second home for me and it's not something I would like to give up anytime soon.
