April 2015
2014 SkillsAcademics, sports and service to my community have been my main focus as I have gone through High School. I have always worked hard to make sure that my life is very balanced, so that I can continue to maintain my high level of success in all aspects of my life. I am very proud to say that I have given, and will continue to give, one hundred and ten percent in my academics in order to reserve my spot on the baseball field. Which will in return send me to college to continue my road to success.
Over the years, I have managed to create a mindset of success. By working as hard as I can, applying myself to every opportunity, and realizing that anything I put my mind to I can achieve. Through trials and adversity, It has helped me realize how mentally strong I am and at times has pushed me to the limits, but I am confident that through my experiences and hardships it has created the type of character my mother would always be proud of.
In my short life, I have realized that there're very few opportunities to make an impact on someone's life. There might not be a tomorrow, or a second chance to change the way people have felt by your presence. My grandfather once told me that it doesn't matter how many accolades or success you find in your life if the people around you have nothing positive to say about you. This has stuck to the inner cortex of my brain. I never want to be a negative impact on anything in my life. It's not what you do or what you've done to someone, it's how you've made them feel. Overall, I want to strive to become a scholar and an amazing baseball player by maintaining a well rounded mindset and overall becoming a better person, and contribute my part to the world around me.
