Baseball is in my veins! I started like most kids playing at 4 years of age and from the beginning I loved it. I grew up watching my parents play softball , so that influenced me and my interest in baseball. Any chance I can I am at the fields, batting cages or in the backyard doing tee work into a net. Anything I can do to better myself for the future. I have learned from every coach I have had growing up and all of them have said I am very coachable. My high school and college academic goals have always been to take the classes that will help me in the future.
I have learned from baseball and all of the other sports I have played that there are obstacles just as there are in everyday life and overcoming them make you stronger. The biggest obstacle that I have faced was during my Freshman Year of High School. As a Freshman I made the Varsity wrestling team and suffered a dislocated and fractured elbow (non-throwing) in my first match. This injury required surgery and tons of therapy, it also caused me to miss a year of baseball. This was devastating to me as I didn't know at first if I would be able to play again. Through hardwork and dedication I was back on the field and I didn't miss a step.
Nothing is guaranteed in life. So, I want to make sure and make the most of it and get a degree in college and pursue my passion of playing college baseball in order to have the best possible future I can. I look forward to continuing my education and baseball career at your school.
