Personal Statement
I've been playing baseball for 12 years and my aspirations in baseball have always been to one day make it to the pro level. I started at the Parks and Recreation level and knew I wanted to continue advancing so I joined my first travel ball team, the Virginia Badgers at age 10. I also started taking private lessons from George Hill. As I developed as a ball player, I continued taking weekly private lessons from George Hill and began training with Dave Christianson at The Rip City Baseball Softball Training Center. After 5 years of playing local travel ball I decided to move on to the National level and began playing with 5 Star Mid-Atlantic. I continue to train with George Hill, Dave Christianson, and have recently started training with Ricky Gregg at The Yard. Although my team is based out of Maryland and I do not get the opportunity to train with them on a consistent basis due to the distance, I am able to function in the capacity needed on any given weekend to support my team.
I pride myself on being able to maintain a 3.69 GPA while taking advanced classes, working multiple jobs, and training 3 days a week. I think baseball has helped me obtain my good work ethic both on and off the baseball field. I'm looking forward to continuing to play baseball and succeeding in the classroom during my college years.
