Personal Statement
My name is Nolan Randall, and I am a class of 2023 student athlete at Archbishop Murphy in Everett, WA, where I am a leader, a middle of the order hitter, a corner infielder and a top starting pitcher. I was recently selected as a 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American, although I cannot compete due to injury. Finally accurately diagnosed after the season, I completed the entire 2022 high school and select seasons with a badly injured elbow that needed to be surgically repaired. As such, I primarily served as designated hitter and pinch hitter all year, and admittedly did not live up to my potential on the field and had a down year. With surgery now behind me and full-on in rehab mode with expectations of being fully healthy and ready by mid-February, I am looking ahead to college baseball once again.
I am a passionate, driven and focused student athlete, dedicated to excelling on the baseball field, in the classroom in high school, and in my community, serving others. I've set my goals to do these same things at the collegiate level.
In order to achieve this uncommon goal, I constantly push myself to work and focus with an uncommon commitment, working to develop myself in practice, on the field, in the weight room, in the classroom and in life to become the best version of myself as a baseball player and as a person possible. Baseball is my true passion, and what I think about every moment of every day. Helping my team and teammates reach their potential by being an example of what it means to be a great teammate, a great ballplayer and a great human drives me.
Being a part of a baseball family that works, grows, and succeeds together is part of what makes me love the game of baseball so much. For these reasons and more, I would love to compete for a baseball program in college while studying for my degree in Weather (Atmospheric Sciences).
