I first started baseball in third grade but my whole life I grew up around a baseball field since my parents played on a co-ed softball team. After being around it for a few months I quickly learned my love for the sport. I hope to join a culinary program when I get to college and continue to learn and better myself as a chef. I have learned that the second I walk onto the field I can let go of everything that has happened that day and just play ball, nothing else matters.
At a young age I lost my mother, and my father was never really around. My grandparents took me in after my mother's passing. It was hard to understand at first but as time went on the clearer it became and was easier to deal with. This made me strong mentally and made it easy to overcome obstacles in my life. Baseball has given me a way to get away from the hardships in life and just compete and have fun. I am willing to do anything to continue playing.
