Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
My collegiate goals and aspirations include playing baseball at the collegiate level. I aspire to compete at the Division 1 level. I know with my dedication and hard work the dream of playing at the collegiate level is possible. I am hard working, respectful, and a team player. Baseball has been my number one sport since I was 6 years old. I have played little league as well as competed on a travel baseball team. I also play for my High school baseball team as well. My travel baseball team competed in Cooperstown, NY. My team the West Virginia Athletics placed 2nd in the around the world competition. Jason Kendell former major league baseball catcher was coaching against my team in Cooperstown. He was impressed with my catching abilities and even said I had "soft hands". I have since improved even more with my catching skills. I have participated in a WVU baseball camp with Coach Mazey in 2018. I was 1 out of 4 catchers. I was comparable to the three senior catchers as a freshman. I was 8th out of 25 on arm velocity. My motto is Working harder to get better every day.
I have good grades and work hard to maintain those grades too! My teachers and coaches would agree that I have a great work ethic and that I am very dependable.
