Grant Yost '12 Recruiting Profile

We are looking to build on our 2011 season where we made it to the Wisconsin State Semi-Finals.  This year our team, Appleton North, has a preseason ranking of #1 in the state for D1 (large schools).  I have received pre-season recognition being named by ESPN High School as an All-State Pitcher.  I was also recognized as one of the top returning pitchers by the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association (WBCA).   Last year we won the FVA conference. We won both the Regionals and Sectionals qualifying for the Wisconsin State High School baseball tournament for the first time in our school's history.    I was named 1st Team All Conference Pitcher. The highlight of my baseball career thus far was pitching against Kimberly in the Sectional Finals.  We won the game which qualified us to play at the State Tournament.  I am a very competitive, dedicated and hard working individual who strives for success. In addition to working hard on the baseball field I'm also very diligent in the classroom. Currently I have a 3.76 GPA and I'm a member of the National Honor Society. I have aspirations to play college baseball and study business. I am open to playing baseball anywhere in the country if the opportunity both on the playing field and classroom are a fit.
