Hello, my name is Ava Florence. I am a Sophomore at Christian Academy of Louisville; Class of 2025. I have played field hockey since 1st grade in intramural sports and joined my school and club teams to play competitively in 5th grade. I was a starter playing Defense this year for my high school and NCC club select teams.
I love the game of field hockey! It allows me to connect with teammates that are also passionate about this sport and creates a community of athletes working together for a common goal. I have been inspired by my dedicated coaches and look forward to furthering my skills for more years to come. My desire is to continue to play in college where I will be empowered and challenged. I am a 'team' player and feel it is important to connect with others, reach out if I have questions and learn from my coaches. Overall, I look forward to my field hockey journey!
Academics are very important to me and while I just started high school, I currently have a 3.99 and I am taking Honors/AP classes. I am also participating in a program called the School of Biomedical Science for my elective classes; this curriculum introduces me to the foundation of the medical field and provides real-world experiences to medical challenges. I am looking forward to attending a college that I can expand my interest in Medicine.
