Anna Downey '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing field hockey for 11 years. I am versatile in my field positions, but I mostly play midfield or forward. I have been a team captain 2 out of my 4 years in high school. As a senior and a captain, it is my duty to show leadership towards my teammates and help them grow on and off the field. I work really hard to complete that duty. I help my teammates work on new skills, spread positivity, and critique  my teammates (positively) in order for them to get better. As a student athlete, I know it is important to balance your schoolwork and your athletic work. I spend my time wisely doing homework, studying, and helping others with schoolwork when I am off from practices and games. As of now, throughout my high school career I have had all A’s and one B .
