One day after gym class in 5th grade, my gym teacher, who happened to also be the middle school field hockey coach, handed me a stick and suggested I start playing field hockey. I brought home that candy cane - shaped hockey stick and signed up for lessons, beginning my journey that would develop me into the player I am today.
Keeping my aspiration to be admitted into high academic schools in mind, a large part of my high school experience has been focused around doing the best that I can in the highest level of classes that my school offers. Creating balance between my academics, athletics, and extracurriculars have made my high-school experience rich in self-diversity. I strive to create a sense of companionship both among my friends and teammates, making everyone feel comfortable and included in conversation and at practice, as well as invest time into building a stronger high school community. I want to carry over my love for uniting and being part of a team into my college years, and turn every moment on and off of the field into lifelong memories.
