Hello! My name is Emma McDaniels and I am a junior at Bordentown Regional High School in New Jersey. As a freshman going out for the field hockey team after playing for only 2 years prior, my chances of making varsity were not high. With talent and dedication, I was able to be one of the 4 other freshmen to make the Varsity team. Through rigorous training on and off the field, I was able to continue to make Varsity the next two years.
Not only do I push myself to be the best I can be in field hockey, but also throughout my academic and track career. I have been in numerous Honors and AP courses throughout my high school experience. It is important to me that I am challenged in all aspects of my life- not just hockey.
Being a track captain provided me with experience working to better a team instead of just myself. While I believe a competitive team works to create competitive and hardworking players, leading and supporting others in their goals is something I enjoy and prioritize.
