Hi!
At the age of 8, I picked up a stick and immediately fell in love with the game and knew that I wanted to play field hockey in college.
5 years ago, I started playing for New Heights Field Hockey Club, where I was further introduced to the competitive nature of the sport and all the hard work and determination that goes into being a standout player.
Field hockey has taught me to always strive to be the best and to always work hard no matter the occasion. I’ve taken what I’d learned and applied it to other aspects of my life. With that being said, I received the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold Award, the latter is the highest award a Girl Scout could earn. I’m also a honors student and a part of my schools peer leaders, volunteer club and student ambassador program.
Being an athlete has exposed me to physical therapy and so, I have become interested in a future career in physical therapy. Being able to help other people feel the best they possibly could, would be the coolest job.
What I most look forward to in the next chapter of my life, is the bond between teammates, coaches and the experiences a team shares on and off the field.
I can’t wait for this new journey to begin!
Thank you,
Maddie Ciancitto
