Hello Coaches,
Field hockey has been my passion for as long as I can remember, but to be more specific my love for the sport started in the third grade. Even though I was very young I looked forward to every Saturday’s intramural game thinking to myself “this is my sport.” As I started to grow up my play started to develop and realized I want to continue in college. The question I started to put a lot of thought and effort into is “What does it take to play in college?”
Coaches, I have learned many valuable lessons throughout my years of play, including commitment, teamwork, courage, sportsmanship, competitiveness, and so much more. Defence is my main position, but I play wherever the coach needs me. I am constantly pushing myself and my teammates to work hard and put in effort on the field and off. Every time I step on a field I make sure to put all my focus there, as well as in the classroom. I am looking for an urban campus where I can study law and criminal justice. Wherever I end up I cannot wait to make a positive impact, show my leadership skills, and the character I've built and continue to build. Coaches, thank you for reviewing my profile and reading my personal statement.
Sincerely,
Mallory Smith
